The Reading minor, with campus and field experiences, is designed to prepare reading teachers and strengthen background preparation of elementary teachers.  The minor should be commenced in the junior year.

EDRD 308 and EDRD 309 are prerequisites for admittance to the monor (EDRD courses). The minor should be commenced in the junior year.

*EDRD 493 also requires permission of the department (designated as the instructor of EDRD 493). 

Permission will not be granted until 4-6 required courses in the Reading minor, excluding prerequisite courses, are completed or will be completed the quarter prior to enrollment.
